October Friday Night Beginner Pottery Class

Are you ready to learn a new hobby? Come spend four evenings in the Sonja Gloria Pottery studio in downtown Sioux Falls learning pottery skills from experienced teachers. 

 

This series will be taught by Tony Millette, a Sioux Falls native who has taught at USD and has a masters degree in art. Tony has a lot of experience and is eager to share it with you.

Class is focused on beginner skills but all levels are welcome. Each class will be 3 hours long from 6-9pm on Fridays in October. Students will be learning wheel throwing and hand building over the four week session, including cylinders, bowls, plates, mugs, adding handles to pieces and a fun hand built pumpkin. The average amount of work made is between 15-20 pieces.  All clay, tools and firings are included in class.

All work can usually be picked up a week after our last class.

Important info, Class is held in the basement of the Crane Center, 326 E 8th st, Sioux Falls SD. You can access the building in the front or back of the building but if you enter on the side things will get confusing. Access to my studio is through the front stairwell which is locked. I will meet everyone at the front stairwell door 5min before class starts. Please be on time so class can start promptly at 6pm. All clay, tools and firings are included in class.

What to wear: Pottery is messy business, please wear closed toe shoes and clothing that you don't mind getting messy and possibly stained.

Refunds can be requested up to a week before class. After that a partial half refund will be given up to the day before class starts. No refunds after the start of class.

Class email will be sent out a couple days before class starts.
